Lyric Dinners go beyond being just a dinner; they are a celebration of passion for music and gastronomy, where each dish on the menu, specially crafted for each concert, accompanies the notes of the young lyrical talents who will fill our space with their art.

Our exclusive Lyric Dinners cycle, now in its eleventh edition, offers you the opportunity to discover new voices in the world of opera, some of which are already acclaimed by both the public and critics. Every night, we invite you to live a complete sensory experience, where music, food, and company merge to create unforgettable memories.

Two generations, one passion

For the first time, Sopars Lírics presents a unique format: a young rising opera talent will share the stage with a seasoned professional singer, acting as their mentor in a truly special evening. This XI edition is a tribute to the transmission of talent, where the past and future of opera come together in an intimate and emotional setting. Enjoy an exceptional dinner paired with the voices that will shape the future of lyrical music.

Oscar Encinas Damunt - Tenor:

Born in Barcelona on September 22, 1998, into a family of musicians, he began his piano studies with his grandfather, Maestro Damunt, and graduated from the Barcelona Municipal Conservatory. He trained in singing with his father, tenor Ignacio Encinas, and at the Liceu Conservatory under Eduardo Giménez.

Awarded scholarships by the Aragall and Montserrat Caballé Foundations, he received masterclasses from Jaume Aragall and Josep Carreras. Winner of the Mirna Lacambra Competition (2023 and 2024), he was a finalist in the CIM of Barcelona and the International Singing Competition “Ciudad de Logroño” (2024).

He made his operatic debut as a soloist at the Sabadell Opera School in Roméo et Juliette and later performed in La Bohème, La Traviata, and Marina, appearing at the Palau de la Música Catalana.

Recently, he won 3rd prize at the Mirabent i Magrans Competition (Sitges, 2024).

 

Tabita Ester Martínez  - Soprano:

Began her vocal studies at the University of Chile and continued her training at the Conservatori del Liceu in Barcelona, where she debuted as First Lady in Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte under the guidance of tenor Francisco Araiza.

Winner of first prizes in competitions in Chile and Italy, and second prize at the Josep Palet International Opera Singing Competition in Spain, she has performed on prestigious stages such as the Teatro Municipal de Santiago and other major Chilean theaters. Her repertoire includes roles in operas like Don Giovanni, Rigoletto, and Carmen, as well as symphonic-choral works like Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony and Orff’s Carmina Burana.

She is currently pursuing a Master's in Opera at the Conservatori del Liceu and has upcoming engagements as a soprano soloist in Mozart’s Great Mass in C Minor and Carmina Burana with the Chilean National Symphony Orchestra.

Carlos Varela - Baríton (Young lyric talent)

He graduated in piano with top marks from the Conservatori Superior del Liceu (2022) and, in 2023, began vocal studies with Anna Feu. He is currently in his second year of vocal studies at the Liceu, supported by a scholarship from the Ferrer-Salat Foundation.

He has participated in opera productions in Vigo and notable concerts such as the Misa Criolla at the Sagrada Familia (2023) and a performance at the Palau Sant Jordi with Andrea Bocelli (2024). He made his opera debut as Avi Castellet in Cançó d’amor i de guerra and as Schaunard in La Bohème in Sabadell after being selected for the 28th Opera School. Recently, he was awarded a scholarship from the Òpera Actual Foundation.

 

Beñat Egiarte - Tenor (Professional)

A tenor from Amorebieta (Biscay), he made his debut in the role of Ferrando in Mozart's Così Fan Tutte with the Associació d’Amics de l’Òpera de Sabadell. He has participated in numerous productions at the Gran Teatre del Liceu (Cendrillon, Otello, Il Viaggio a Reims, Don Pasquale, Roméo et Juliette, Wozzeck, La Gioconda), at Òpera Catalunya (Rigoletto, Les Contes d’Hoffmann), at the Palau de la Música Catalana (Petite Messe Solennelle, Carmina Burana), at L’Auditori (Turandot), as well as in other theaters such as La Maestranza (Seville), Arriaga (Bilbao), Kursaal (Donostia), Sao Pedro (São Paulo), Auditorio Nacional (Madrid), Teatro Monumental (Madrid)…

Performing artists: 

María Patak - Soprano (youg lyric talent)

Born in Italy, she moved to Barcelona to study voice at the Conservatori del Liceu, where she completed her higher studies with Dolors Aldea. She is currently pursuing a Master's in Vocal Performance with a scholarship from the Ferrer Salat Foundation.

In 2024, she received awards in several competitions, including the Concurs Palet and the Competition for Young Performers of Girona. She has sung with the Internationales Chörakademie under the direction of Rolf Beck and is a member of the Cor Jove Nacional de Catalunya. She has attended masterclasses with Nelly Miricioiu, Carmen Bustamante, Xavier Sabata, and Eva Marton.

She made her debut as Alice in Falstaff (2023) and at the Gran Teatre del Liceu with Figaro i Susanna. In 2023, she also performed as Donna Anna in Don Giovanni at the Musikverein with the Vienna Opera Academy, and in October, as Musetta in La Bohème with the Escola d’Òpera de Sabadell.

 

Guillem Batllori - Baritone (professional singer)

He has studied with Dolors Aldea and worked with renowned international musicians. He is currently refining his roles in Germany with Cynthia Jacoby-Deventer.

He was the baritone soloist at Operastudio Niederrhein (2019-2022), debuting in various roles in German theaters. He has performed as Ford (Falstaff) and Don Alfonso (Così fan tutte) in Sabadell, as well as Marcello (La Bohème) in various theaters across Spain.

In 2023, he made his debut at the Gran Teatre del Liceu in L'incoronazione di Poppea and Antony and Cleopatra. In 2024, he performed in Oviedo (Arabella), and in 2025, he will debut as Count Almaviva (Le nozze di Figaro). He has performed at the Palau de la Música in works such as Beethoven’s 9th Symphony and Bach’s St. Matthew Passion.
